Welcome to the Summer 2025 Cohort! Over 150 Hours of Comprehensive Birth Work Education This is the training that prepares you for birth in the real world. Our 6-week immersive cohort blends Black and Indigenous traditions with current, evidence based knowledge. You will be prepared to support families in any setting, even the car. Because yes, car babies come fast. This is not surface level training. This is a return to what our people have always known. How to care. How to protect. How to remember. Here, you will be trained to support: Diverse Birth Settings: From home births and VBACs to gentle cesareans and fast, unexpected births that happen en route. Comprehensive Reproductive Experiences: You will learn how to offer compassionate & trauma informed care for the childbearing year, all forms of loss and autonomous release. Sacred Postpartum Healing: You will gain the tools to support physical recovery, emotional wellness, and spiritual renewal during the postpartum period. Here, you will learn how to: Honor the birthing body: Understand physiological birth and support it with intuition and skill across all settings. Move through systemic challenges: Advocate for your clients with clarity, especially when systems are not built to support them. Build a sustainable practice: Create a life giving business rooted in your values and in the needs of your community. Protect the postpartum space: Implement care practices that promote healing and protect long term well being. This is full-spectrum, tradition rooted, evidence grounded education for the called community healers. The cohort is 6 weeks, but the community is infinite. Welcome to The Better Birth Worker
